Facebook TLA’s was multi pronged 6 month job completed at Imaginary Forces for Facebook US and Facebook Brazil. Under the leadership of Grant Lau I ran a team with a great mix of seasoned designers and young hungry animators. A 3 month design process lead to an exhaustive exploration spanning dozens of concepts while creating hundreds of comps.

The brief included 3 messages written by Facebook that all needed to have their own 15 second spot that played on the platform reaching into the hundreds of millions of people. We were tasked with conveying a serious message in a simple and easy to understand way. The messaging needed to be clear, concise and front and center. My thought process was to have the design only work as a housing device that would help to make the read as legible as possible while at the same time feeling professional, polished and giving an air of authority. To balance that the font would have to be modern but inviting. The color pallete would reference the brand colors while at the same time expanding out in friendlier territories specific to each message.
